Laboratories are one sector that can benefit most from standardization, especially when it comes to performance. Without strict guidelines or standards to abide by, labs are often forced to rely on themselves to figure out how to produce not just a high volume of relevant results but reproducible ones too. The difficulty with standardising KPIs stems from the nature of scientific research, as performance criteria are nearly always different from lab to lab. With that in mind, there are still a few key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the scientific continuum, complete with optimised methods of analysing and reporting them to help assess your lab’s level of efficiency.

In vivo studies are an essential component of biopharmaceutical R&D that help teams understand drug pharmacology, safety, and toxicology. They sit on the critical path to bringing new drugs into the clinic, so it’s imperative to run them accurately, efficiently, and collaboratively. Yet many teams still struggle to manage the end-to-end process of running in vivo studies using spreadsheets, email, and outdated point solutions. Modern drug development teams require an in vivo solution that aligns with the specialised nature of vivarium work, yet also remains connected to their broader R&D programs. In this session, we will share some of the frequent challenges observed across the industry, followed by real-world examples of companies modernising their in vivo programs. We'll provide insights on how to drive collaboration across R&D teams and accelerate time to clinic by leveraging connected, cloud-based R&D applications that facilitate sample transfers for bioanalysis and joining of data for scientific decision-making.

Today’s advanced biomolecules require new ways of conducting R&D. To get breakthrough molecules to milestone faster, organisations need modern software that connects work across R&D so groups can operate as a unified team. We will discuss challenges with traditional LIMS and explore how cloud software helps teams advance novel biomolecules into marketable products.

Clustermarket was founded in 2015 by three university students, Niklas Friedberg, Tobias Wingbermuehle and Johannes Solzbach.
The three noticed that the cost of equipment and services were a huge barrier for the commercialisation of research. As well as that, legacy lab management processes were slowing down research teams.
Together they set out to build a world-leading online platform for life-sciences researchers. The goal of this platform was to bring managing research into the digital age, democratise access to expensive equipment and services and to enable life sciences innovators to get ideas to market - faster than ever before.
The customer-centric approach, constant support and feedback reviews have helped Clustermarket grow their business and create a lab equipment booking software that is used in many academic research facilities and industrial laboratories that want to manage their lab infrastructure in the most efficient way.
